Scarlets Rugby Club

The Scarlets Rugby Club, or ‘Parc y Scarlets’ is located in Llanelli, and was looking to upgrade their POS system to something more modern, and wanted the ability to synchronise every single point of sale across the entire site. They also wanted to make it easy to add and remove points of sale, and then get the correct set of products and their restaurant menu on the respective devices.

This monumental task was made easy by POS-Up, who got their hardware shipped to them and set up their Kounta account remotely. The entire menu was bulk uploaded onto their account, and Kounta’s intelligent ‘sites’ system allowed them to choose which items appeared on which devices in which locations. So they had their food menu and drinks in their restaurant and cafe, allowing the customers and players to order their food with ease. In the bars, a quick drinks menu was applied to the devices to enable quick transactions and speedy service. Kounta’s versatility made it perfect for both uses. Even though there are separate areas, the owners can see an overall view of how the entire park is doing at any time from the cloud-based back office, which allows them to make key decisions about staff and costing.

The Scarlets are now doing extremely well (in the rugby as well!) and are even looking at expanding their operations with 10 more points of sale in the near future. Yet again, each Kounta POS will be easy to set up with the existing menu system in place.
